Trina Clickner, Denise Carder, David Russell, Fred Vieira and Mark Weeg play tunes together and apart. When we're together as the String Chickens, Trina and Denise play their fiddles and Mark plays fiddle, mandolin and sometimes viola. David plays the guitar and the autoharp and takes the lead on the singin' tunes. We play bluegrass, old-time, American, Scottish, Irish and pretty much any old tune. Some newer ones, too. Trina and Denise get to play tunes from Mark's awesome book - A Violinist's Guide to Fiddling. Fred keeps us together on bass and sings awesome harmony with David. Sometimes Fred plays guitar and mandolin.

Here are a few of us chickens playing with friends in Rochester NY during a jam/gathering held during a photography exhibit. Aren't we just having a fun time. The acoustics are, by design, super in a church - on any occasion! We sounded great!
