Important Summer 2013 Events

We play here and there most every week but here are the Summer of 2013 highlights.

Be sure to look for us at the Genesee Country Village and Museum August 17-18, 2013 for the annual Old-Time Fiddler's Fair. Hours are 10AM to 5PM on both Saturday and Sunday - visit http://www.gcv.org/EventCalendar/EventDetails.aspx?eid=21 for details and directions. All fiddlers and their accompanists are admitted for FREE to this event.

Celebrate the beginning of the Fall season with us by spending a day at an old fashioned sugar house in the country! Come to the annual Springwater Fiddlers Fair and American Craft Show - it's at Sugarbush Hollow Farm located at 8447 Pardee Hollow Road in Springwater NY. This year the event takes place on Saturday September 14, 2013 from 10AM to 6PM.

Looking for us? Here's who you're looking for!

Mark Weeg of Rochester NY is a great fiddler, violinist and outstanding performer. This picture was taken at the annual Long Point Park Fiddler's Picnic.

Mark recently hosted a successful workshop for the New York State Old Time Fiddler's Association in Osceola NY. He is a frequent guest at their Central Chapter jams in Camden, NY. Good fiddling, good food, great friends!

Denise Carder of Rochester NY is an active member of the Fiddler's of the Genesee. This picture was taken at the Springwater Fiddler's Fair in Springwater, NY.

Denise plays the very same fiddle she's had since high school but it's working better now. And when she's not busy with The String Chickens, she's playing those super fast and fancy Irish tunes at the Charlotte Tavern located at 2 River Street in Charlotte, NY.

As you see here, Denise is the most color coordinated and best dressed of the chickens.

Trina Clickner lives in Rochester NY and in Dunedin FL and is pictured here playing at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA.

Trina plays her grandfather's fiddle which thankfully already knows lots of old time tunes.
