Our first concert of the 2021 season with the String Chickens is sure to lift your spirits with an eclectic, heartfelt mix of old-time, bluegrass, Americana, and Irish music.

MUMFORD FIDDLER'S FAIR
August 17 and 18, 2019

This weekend, Aug 17 and 18 2019 is the annual Fiddler's Fair in Mumford, NY.

Each morning, the String Chickens will be warming up in the Brooks Grove Church so please bring your instrument and join us if you arrive early - the acoustics make us soumd just about as good as we'll ever get. YOU TOO! ;o)

On Saturday only we'll be performing for a 1/2 hour in the Barn at 12:45 - hope to see you.

OH - Mark is with us on Saturday only this year and we also hope to perform on the Main Stage a time or two with our favorite old-time piano player, Jessie Gotham!

Join The String Chickens at the Brighton Memorial Library in Rochester NY on Sunday March 10th 2019 for a lively Irish Serenade. We have been invited to entertain as part of the library's monthly "Sunday Serenade" series! Thank you very, very much Town of Brighton. And huh. As Brighton tax payers ourselves, I'm thinking that we chickens are paying ourselves to have some fun again. Huh. YES! Good job everyone!

We are fiddlers Trina Clickner, Denise Carder, and Mark Weeg, along with guitar player David Russell, and Fred Vieira on bass.

Here I am in Big Sur CA on vacation playing until the cows came over. VERY FUNNY. Zoom in the cows as they come over the rise through the field. They stop. They listen. They continue to approach.

ALSO… bring your instrument and join the String Chickens each morning in the Brooks Grove Church for an all musician warm up starting at 11:15. We’ll play tunes you’ll likely know - come PLAY ALONG in an amazing old-fashioned church with amazing acoustics! Warm up for a full day of fiddling fun!
